‘I Stopped Bleeding After Joining T.B. Joshua In Prayer On Emmanuel TV’

The following is a testimony from an American lady who received a remarkable healing after joining Prophet T.B. Joshua in prayer via Emmanuel TV:

Emmanuel TV Testimony

“Lyubov Parkhotyuk is the mother of 7 children. Wife of an awesome pastor. More than a month ago, she discovered heavy bleeding, that continued for 30 days. Working as a nurse, she went to great doctors, who gave her medicine, but it didn’t change her situation. She consulted some of her trusted doctor friends from oversees, who sent her medicine, but even that brought no improvement.

On Saturday Night, 5th of November, she prayed with Prophet TB Joshua on Emmanuel TV. After prayer, her bleeding immediately stopped. It’s been more than a week, and her husband and her both testify to the miracle working power of Jesus, that set her free of the bleeding.

There was a woman in the Bible who had similar problem, but this problem lasted for 12 years. Lady spend all her possessions on doctors, but could not be cured. Once she heard about Jesus, she touched him and was cured of her sickness.

Jesus is the same today. Distance is not a barrier. Faith is all that you need. Some people are writing to us asking for Anointing Water, which God uses mighty to bring healing. But I want you to notice, that Lyubov, just used her faith while praying with TB Joshua and she was healed. Jesus can heal you as well, by prayer with TB Joshua, just like He can heal you through Anointing Water, just like He can use any medium.”

Emmanuel TV Testimony: Hair Restored!

The pains were unbearable. The sores covered her entire head, emitting a foul odour and rendering normal hair growth impossible. For the young Zambian, whose condition was diagnosed as an incurable fungal infection, the prospects of a normal childhood seemed all but gone. However, upon receiving a wonderful gift in the Anointing Water and praying along in faith with Prophet T.B. Joshua, her story was about to change!

“Praise the Lord! My name is Catherine Kamushila of Lusaka, Zambia. I want to testify of the goodness of the Lord through the Anointing Water.

“I am a staunch viewer of Emmanuel TV and so is my family. I have two children, a girl who is eight years old and a boy who is two years old. My daughter had been having sores on the scalp for many years. Each time her hair grows, the sores would come out of her head. It was so severe that I had to shave her hair completely until she was bald.

“We had gone to the hospital where they told us that it was a fungal and bacterial infection. My daughters head was actually being eaten away by these sores. The would even be smelling and flies would buzz constantly around her. We were all in agony because of her condition as she would not sleep when the pain started. It was extremely painful when she was washing the sores.

“Thanks to the Almighty, my friend sent me some Anointing Water from people who had just come back from The SCOAN. We began using the water after washing the sores. My daughter also had so much faith in the Lord that she could wake up in the night at midnight to pray with me.

“One fateful day we were watching Emmanuel TV where a Malawian woman was testifying that she was watching Emmanuel TV and that she put a bottle of water close to the TV and used it on her daughter who had lost her hair, and that the hair of her daughter started growing back. My daughter was watching with me and suddenly started crying. She began to pray, ‘Please God, remove these sores from my head! I want to be well!’ As she said these words, she touched the screen as the man of God Prophet T.B. Joshua was asking the woman questions and as he prayed on that day. This must have been in April 2011.

“I can testify now that the sores have gone and her hair has grown back! It happened just like it did for that woman’s daughter beginning with baby hair and then normal hair. As I am writing, I have booked her to have her hair plaited tomorrow. Praise the Lord!

“I thank God! Through the man of God Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Anointing Water, my daughter is free from the skin disease.”

Emmanuel TV: A Testimony Of Transformation

Emmanuel TV, the television station of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) began its remarkable journey with a bold statement of intent, cast in a slogan which was of more than mere words: ‘Changing lives, changing nations, changing the world.’ Since its entry into the airwaves on March 10th2006, countless stories of transformation, reformation and salvation paint a bold picture of the impact it has had on individuals, families and nations alike. Although no meter can truly measure Emmanuel TV’s worldwide influence, it is safe to say, by its unwavering progress, that God is clearly the divine driver behind its fortunes. Here is an Emmanuel TV story sure to stir wonder in the depths of your heart, bring a tear to your eye and leave you in awe of an awesome God.

Life was literally hellish for Maria Chisanga, her volatile husband dealing her verbal and physical abuse again in a fit of drunken madness. Their marriage had not started on such a chaotic note, but alcohol had slowly consumed, overtaken and destroyed him. Alex was not the man she first met. For the young Zambian couple, already with two kids, the situation was dire and the marriage at the point of breaking beyond repair. “I don’t know whether it was due to the money I started having,” Alex reminisced. “But the moment we had our second kid, problems started coming and I started drinking. I was going out every night with friends and they influenced me to drink. From that time, things started to go downhill. The deeper it went, the worse life became and I started drinking badly. It was uncontrollable.”

As the alcohol clouded his judgement and veiled his values, Alex started going regularly outside his marital home, eloping with different women on various occasions, including the younger sister of Maria’s closest friend. He had three children outside wedlock. “Eventually I ran away from my house, with my wife crying bitterly. They went to my father and different pastors – still they couldn’t stop me. You know, when you are carried away – you are gone.” Alex left his house in disarray, with his five children from Maria becoming virtually fatherless. “I was still financially supporting my wife, but soon stopped because I was with other women. That’s when I moved completely to Botswana and forgot taking care of her and the children completely.”

Each attempted return to reconcile resulted in more strife and fight. Maria eventually made the decision to leave the marriage and return to her hometown. “When my husband started drinking, it was horrible,” Maria soberly stated. “It was a time of crying, a time of crises, a very hard time for me. We were fighting and shouting at each other every day. He was beating me any time he felt like it. My children were so much affected by the drinking of their father. They came to the point of telling me, ‘Mummy – if you can leave this man, I think it would be better for you – because this man is beating you and bringing so many problems in our lives today.’ Even paying their school fees was a problem. Eating was a problem. He was beating me so much, and I got tired. I prayed and prayed until I got tired and decided to leave the marriage.”

If anyone is in a position to explain the devastating and destructive effect of alcohol abuse, it is Alex Chisanga. With turmoil throughout his home and life, Alex turned to extreme drinking, literally existing in a state of delirium, dependent on the next beer-binge. “There was not a day that I did not drink,” he vividly explained. “The time I am talking with you now, maybe a carton would be gone. You know, when you got paid, you would buy some cartons and put them in the fridge – instead of buying food. You might go and get five or six cartons and put them in the fridge. It came to the extent that I could not even sit like this without having a beer, because I would be shaking. I needed to have a beer with me.  When I was going to the toilet, I would carry a beer. It came to a time when I couldn’t even cook for myself. I had to go out and buy food before I could eat. Sometimes, I would spend two or three days without food; but beer was there. Even when I was going to bed, when I slept, I would be having a bottle with me. As I would be trying to sleep, I would be drinking. In the night, all I would dream of was beer. And the moment I woke up, I would start. Sometimes, the bottle would fall from my hands in the night. You would just get up in the morning and see the mess, go to the fridge and get another one. My beer was too much. I couldn’t live without beer. Like you are sitting down now – I couldn’t. I needed to have it with me. I needed to have it in my stomach – if I didn’t, I would become something else. I would become wild.”

As to be expected, the extreme addiction had taken its toll on him both physically and psychologically, with regular thoughts of suicide whirling within his head. “Physically, I was not normal. There were times when I would feel like a mad person. All it would tell you – go to the fridge, it is there. I even went bankrupt because of my beer addiction. If it was not there and you didn’t have money in the bank, you would force yourself to go and sell something so that at least, it would be there. It must be there. Things were finished. My vehicle – I sold it because of that. We had two fridges – I sold one of them. I sold everything to buy beer. I was only left with my TV and a bed to sleep in. If you came close to me, you would sense the smell of my beer. It got to the extent that my whole body smelt of beer, because sometimes I wouldn’t bathe. I would start to have a headache that was unstoppable – then something came to you and told you to get rid of your life.”Even while performing his duties as a heavy truck driver, Alex would drive under the influence of alcohol; astonishingly however, he was able to avoid accidents. “I used to hide alcohol at work. Even when I was driving, behind my seat you would find a carton of my beer.”

The downward spiral continued for Alex, bound in what could be termed as slavery to the spirit of alcohol that had totally engulfed his existence. It was the December of 2008 – over three years since he had last seen or spoken to his wife. “One Sunday morning, a friend of mine came to find out whether I was at home,” explained Alex, who had been drinking throughout the nights of Friday and Saturday. “He asked me if I had a decoder in my living room.” In tune with his answer, the friend entered his house and fiddled with the apparatus before tuning in to a particular television station. “He increased the volume and then joined me outside on the veranda where I was drinking. After a while, he heard the voice of the man of God preaching.” Alex’s friend had tuned to Emmanuel TV, and it was the start of a live Sunday Service from The SCOAN with Prophet T.B. Joshua. “By the time he heard the man of God say, ‘Distance is not a barrier! Let us pray for the viewers’ – he said to me, ‘Alex – you need to come and watch this.’” Literally forcing the reluctant drunkard to enter his house, the friend brought him before the television. “He told me: ‘Come – I need you to touch the screen’. I told him, ‘No, let me just watch the man.’ Then he just grabbed my hand and forcefully put it on the screen. At that moment, the man of God said: ‘Whatever is not of Jesus – out!’ That’s when I went out on the ground.” Rolling uncontrollably on the floor of his living room, Alex was receiving a remarkable deliverance as a service some thousands of miles away in Lagos, Nigeria progressed. The spirits tormenting his life and family were being chased out. “I must have been there for over 10 minutes. All I remember is that the man of God shouted, ‘In the name of Jesus – you are free’ and I just woke up at once, in dirty clothes and sweating profusely.”

Alex slowly got up, several neighbours having gathered due to the commotion, stared at him in amazement. The darkness that clouded his blood-shot eyes had gone. “I looked around and the first thing I asked was: ‘Where is my wife?’ My friend who had put on Emmanuel TV and all my neighbours started crying. They told me ‘Alex, your wife left you over three years ago.’ I couldn’t believe it. I went to the bedroom and started checking for my wife’s clothes. Then I discovered it was true – my wife was no longer with me. I began to cry.” Alex asked for a drink of water and a disbelieving neighbour brought out both bottles of water and beer, asking him to choose. He chose water.

Reconciliation

The following day, Alex took a fortnight’s leave from work and started a desperate journey back to Zambia to find his wife. Discovering that his five children were scattered throughout the community and that his wife had returned to her father’s house, he set out to meet her. The passion to reunite was so deep that the journey of four days took him only two, to the point where he was 15km from the village of his father-in-law but with no transport available. “I walked the 15km on foot with the rain pouring and soaking me throughout. It was 1.00 when I finally arrived.” In the dead of night, Alex stood before his wife’s house and cried out. “When my father-in-law heard my voice, he said, ‘Alex, is that you?’ He then turned to shout, ‘Maria – your husband is here!’ ”It was a glorious moment, an unprecedented reconciliation upon 10 minutes in front of a unique television station. “Everyone was crying and we were hugging one another. In the morning, we had a meeting as a family. I had to explain to them what happened and how I got delivered through Emmanuel TV. They were surprised because what they heard about me and what they were seeing was a totally different thing. I knelt and apologised in the presence of the family, but my father-in-law stood me up and said: You remain our son. They killed a goat and we ate and celebrated together.” “It was a wonderful day,” recalled Maria. “Despite all that had happened, we were so happy to see him back in our lives – because we didn’t stop loving him. We were always praying for him and asking God to intervene in his situation – and He did!” After one week, the reunited couple returned to Botswana.

Alex’s remarkable encounter with God through Emmanuel TV signalled the last alcoholic drink he took, as well as the birth of a new relationship with Maria.“It’s like we have just been married. I never realised before how beautiful my wife is! Now when I am off work, I will be in the house, working and eating together with her. I also reunited with my children, and they came back to spend holidays with us.” It can be genuinely called a total transformation. “Thank God for the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV for what they have done – they have brought life to my life. I was a dead person who had nothing in the head apart from beer – beer was my focus. If I didn’t have a beer, I didn’t have anything. But today, I am a different person, I don’t even think about beer anymore, not a single craving.” For Maria, it’s as if she has a new husband. “There is a big, big difference in his life – now he is a new man. We can share the Bible together; we can pray together, we can do all things together. No more drinking. No more fighting. No more shouting. He is even a preacher of the Word of God now! We are enjoying our relationship!”

Her advice to couples about to enter marriage is on the necessity of involving God. “I will advise those who are entering into marriage to invite God into their life, because a marriage without God has a limit, but with God – all things are possible. To my fellow people out there, hold fast to God – our God is a good God, He never fails. Jesus is a conqueror – and once you believe in Him, you too are a conqueror with Him.”

Alex’s advice, informed by an unforgettable life-experience, is simple: “Thank God that I can give you these words of advice: do not go into alcohol. Rather choose the Lord Jesus Christ, who will give you life, who will give light to your future. Not beer – beer doesn’t give life. Beer only spoils your life and kills you in a manner that the more beer you drink, the older you become, the more you destroy yourself – your life will be miserable. Let’s hold fast to God, not the things of this world. Let’s have a new life in Him that will never put us in misery, a new life that will always bring joy and happiness. God created us in His own image, and He wants us to follow His ways. Lucky we are that we are given Emmanuel TV! We’ve been given the prophet – Senior Prophet T.B. Joshua. He is not the prophet of Nigeria; he is a prophet of all nations. He is a prophet that is given to us to change our lives. Like me personally speaking now – if you saw me some years ago, you would shed tears. The tears you would be shedding are tears of joy that Emmanuel TV and its partners with Prophet T.B. Joshua have brought life to me today. I, Alex, am alive today because of Emmanuel TV and Prophet T.B. Joshua. All I can say is thank you!”

Emmanuel TV Testimony: Delivered From The Spirit Of Smoking

James Mangiza couldn’t live without smoking. From the tender age of 12, the young South African literally lived in a state of dependency upon cigarettes and a drug he called ‘dagga’, popularly known as marijuana. It had been 20 years of addiction, consuming both time and finances as well as causing his health to spiral steadily downwards. However one day while James was watching Emmanuel TV with his family, Prophet T.B. Joshua began to pray for viewers around the world. It turned out to be a day he would ever remember, a day of radical change.

Smoking Dagga

Smoking Dagga

“I would like to express my gratitude to God for one of the greatest miracles which happened in my life through watching Emmanuel TV. I have been smoking cigarettes and ‘dagga’ since the age of 12 and I am now 32. I would smoke it before and after school every day. I became so addicted as I grew up that I wouldn’t do anything without fist smoking ‘dagga’ and cigarettes. Per day I would smoke ‘dagga’ 5 to 10 times and at least 20 cigarettes. I started watching Emmanuel TV with my family at the end of last year. In March this year (2011), I heard Prophet T.B. Joshua saying the viewers at home should touch the screen and that distance is not a barrier. I touched the screen as he prayed. The next morning when I tried to smoke a normal cigarette I felt like I was taking a paralyzing drug. I just couldn’t smoke it. I waited a few minutes, lit another one and this time nearly fell to the ground as I tried to smoke. From that day until now, it has been three months and I have never touched cigarettes or ‘dagga’. I am completely delivered from that spirit of smoking! Emmanuel! Thank You, Jesus!”

Promotion Through Prayer On Emmanuel TV

Miriam from Zambia wrote this testimony about receiving promotion in her workplace after praying along with T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV. God is good, all the time!

“My name is Miriam Longwe of Kitwe, Zambia. I want to testify that in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, all things are possible! God made a way for me where there seemed to be no way.

“Last year in June 2010,  I applied for a job at Africonnect Zambia Ltd, the same company I was working in as a cleaner in their offices. I kept on crying to my God and praying along with T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV. This year, Jesus has done it for me! I was miraculously promoted from cleaner to an OFFICE ATTENDENT thanks to the Man of God T.B. Joshua and his encouragement and prayers on Emmanuel TV. Thank You, Jesus! Amen!”

We thank God for bringing breakthrough and promotion to Miriam. The best is yet to come!

Emmanuel TV – The World’s Best Kept Secret?

Just finished watching the live Monday service on Emmanuel TV. The prophetic ministry of Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Wise Men is simply astonishing. The amount of detail revealed to individuals they have never met before, the accuracy of which is immediately confirmed, can only be attributed to God’s work and wisdom. And deliverance/ solution follows. As T.B. Joshua says, “The prophecy contains both question and answer!”

Whenever I watch Emmanuel TV, particularly of recent, I feel that it is one of the world’s best kept secrets! Truly, many people watch Emmanuel TV, particularly across Africa, but I believe what happens on Emmanuel TV every day should be broadcast round the world via all major world media and mediums. That’s how significant it is. It’s practical Christianity in action in a very raw and real way that echoes what we read about in the Gospels of Jesus and the Book of Acts.

People today often view Christianity through a stereotypically negative lens, based on their experiences of those who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. Hypocrites. However, if more people are exposed to Christian content in line with Emmanuel TV, I believe such perceptions will be challenged and soon change. We need to spread the message!

I recently read this article about Emmanuel TV that echoed my sentiments, written by a Zambian blogger:

In an age where most teens can be found sprawled on the sofa watching comedies, movies, soap-operas or other mind-numbing and reality-dimming programs, Christian television with a growing passionate following is indeed a rare phenomenon. It is in fact an African phenomenon…

Emmanuel TV is an evangelical enigma. Quite frankly, it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Both raw and radical, it’s definitely not your run-of-the-mill religious content. It’s the station of the famous Nigerian Prophet, TB Joshua – one of the most debated and berated African characters in recent history, the storm still raging and the records still writing.

In recent months, Emmanuel TV has captured the African spirit in an almost baffling fashion, celestially arresting their attention and further stirring dispute and fuelling repute. The compelling synergy of unique and captivating Christian content sends countless tens of thousands of Africans scurrying to their television sets every Sunday, choosing to participate in the live service broadcast from The SCOAN (that lasts almost the entire day) than even going to their churches or engaging in social activities. And it’s growing at an astonishing rate both in awareness and acclaim, each week unveiling scores of new avid devotees.

Even the most unlikely and ‘unreligious’ sit in front of the box to watch his prophetic time, fetching out people and telling them their life history with uncanny accuracy and extraordinary effect. It’s a lifetime of experience served live and direct, the amount of specific detail coupled with the shock of the persons concerned bold statements that pre-arrangement has no involvement. A real eye-opener for those scores of sceptics, provoking even the most hardest of atheists to review their stance and ask some fundamental questions.

Prophet Joshua then puts his entire ministry on the line in releasing prophetic messages to nations, oftentimes mentioning specific places and dates. Their consistency in accuracy is clear proofs that such declarations cannot but be a product of divine instruction, direction and revelation. Envious fellows even abuse his repute to spread rumours of prophetic fallacies, word often spreading to such extent that fears and strife are rife in communities and even countries as a result. People fled home, schools closed down and business ground to a halt in a Nigerian state of late because mischievous men peddled a rumour that Pastor Joshua had said lions would come out and attack! Such is the gravity with which people view his prophecies.

Then there are the miracles that seem almost too instant and incredulous to be true, yet with such alarming consistency, widespread testimony and lasting result they just can’t be disregarded. Be it HIV/ AIDs, cancerous sores or those restricted to wheelchairs – testimonies resound unanimous.

Then there comes charity. A ministry where partners can truly see the fruit of their offerings, the evidence of their sacrifice. Multitudes of less-privileged given scholarships, provided with housing and welfare, taken care of on literally a weekly basis. And no monotonous call for funds, no bank details stuck on the screen at every availing instance, no subtle undertone of financial obligation.

What of the demonic deliverances, with human beings previously calm suddenly catapulted to the floor, contorting and contracting with animalistic instincts, groaning and grimacing with venom in their croaky voices? Certainly not for the faint in heart! With self-professed witches openly confessing, repentant robbers forsaking their old ways and unveiling their gruesome tales, broken homes and relationships restored and reunited, it’s a station that defines the term ‘unexpected’.

Exciting as the latest blockbuster, heart-wrenching as the latest thriller – yet edifying, encouraging and experience-injecting all at once, Emmanuel TV is the station of the moment in Africa. In my native Zambia, Emmanuel TV is practically our national station – the people’s station. And each week there’s something new, something fresh, something unique to astound and confound. These weekly events form the basis for lengthy discussions, feeding disagreements and building unlikely unions cutting across tribe, race and even religion. Everyone has their own opinion, many having heard unfounded rumours and reports of TB Joshua’s ‘devilish’ activities before, but time and the sheer consistency of the prophet’s words and works continue to sway more and more people to believe this is not another ‘pick-pocketing’ religious hoax, but a practical living reality.

Yes, it appears we have a 21st century prophet in our midst, greatly misunderstood and gravely underrated, the types and likes of which are seldom seen in our technological and self-serving generation. Not convinced? Have a watch yourself…

Reflections on T.B. Joshua And Emmanuel TV

I read this intriguing account of a journalists discovery of Emmanuel TV and the subsequent changes he has seen in his life. It is quite verbose, but very interesting nonetheless, especially since it is coming from someone without a religious background and who, in his own words, had an attitude of ‘downright hostility’ towards religious matters before encountering Prophet T.B. Joshua via Emmanuel TV.

Here are reflections from Nigerian journalist, Chiji Okafor…

In Nigeria’s recent history, June 12 has become a very special and important day. It has become a symbolic day that reminds Nigerians of their history of many shattered dreams, of a fact that the ordinary folk of this country cannot even be allowed to become what they want to become, to choose the leaders that they want to choose for themselves.

Prophet TB Joshua

Prophet TB Joshua

June 12 is also the birthday of a remarkable Nigerian, a man whose type graces this world once in an epoch. On June 12, this year, Temitope Balogun Joshua, Nigeria’s healing pastor, extraordinary preacher, prophet and humanitarian, turns a mere 46 earth years. But it is only God Almighty Himself (judging by the profundity and wisdom exhibited by Joshua) who can tell the real age of this prodigious man of God.

Until I watched the story of Nigeria’s beleaguered dwarves on Prophet TB Joshua’s Emmanuel TV early this year, my attitude to organised religion had been one of total indifference, if not downright hostility. And who could really blame one for this? If the general attitude of many of our today’s religious people and their leadership is anything to go by – and I mean of every popular religion in this country – then, it is time to consider Satanism as an option!

It is also impossible for any serious African, a student of history and one who has taken pains to research into Black history and avail himself of facts, of the role that religion (particularly Christianity and Islam) played and still plays in the subjugation of the Black race, not to be bitter towards and suspicious of anything religious. This is only human. The world, for instance, annually celebrates the very unfortunate fate of the Jews in the concentration camps of Auswitch and Birkenau. But nobody ever mentions the horrendous massacres and enslavement of the Bakongo of five centuries earlier and the fate of the last Mani-Kongo who even transmuted to Dom Afonso I, from Nzinga a Mvemba, on conversion to Christianity, thinking he was dealing with honest people of God.

Omar Al Bashir

Omar Al Bashir, President of Sudan

Today, the ongoing genocide in Omar al-Bashir’s Sudan is there for all to see. But what is the so-called civilised world doing about this evil and well-orchestrated decimation of Black African populations in that country? Why are even other independent African nations pretending to be doing something, whilst the long-suffering people of Darfur are steadily wasting away?

Because of the long history of struggle for survival of the Black race and the many terrible things that have happened to our people in the past and still continue to happen, many African elite have turned sceptical to matters of religion. This cynicism is aptly captured by the battle song of one of the leaders of the Haitian Revolution, (1791-1804) Jamaican-born Bookman Dutty, now famously referred to as “Bookman’s Prayer”. That revolution, begun almost half a century earlier by Maroon leader, Francois Makandal, was carried to a successful conclusion by Black fighters, under Jean-Jacques Dessalines. Unfortunately, the struggle came to a tragic end when the White agents of Napoleon Bonaparte tricked the last leader of the revolution, a mulatto named, Toussaint L’Ouverture. Toussaint was promptly shipped to exile in France where he was executed by means of starvation and cold.

The revolution was thus extinguished and since then, Haiti, the first independent Black nation on earth has never been allowed to be the same. And neither has Nigeria, either, since our so-called independence – this Nigeria of ours, the one Black nation on this earth with the capability and enough resources, human and material, to strike out on its own. The deepest roots of Nigeria’s myriad of problems lie in matters of race and religion.

For me therefore – and like I believe, for many of my kind – Jesus Christ merely became a symbol of Western deceit, cheating and thievery. Everything about the Christianity into which I was born irritated me completely, until I discovered Prophet TB Joshua’s brand of practical Christianity. In the name of the same Jesus Christ that one viewed with great suspicion, the man heals the sick, preaches the gospel in his own unique way, gives without any reservations whatsoever and sees deep into the future and even into people’s private problems, to reconcile feuding families, among other things.

I have continued to study this man and my interest in his activities, are growing by the day. He demonstrates Christian virtues like no other pastor I have come across, does. Well, if all this is what Jesus Christ is all about, then I should review my opinion of Him. Like I have said here before, his miracles are simply mind-blowing, which have led many to accuse him of witchcraft and sorcery. I believe people who are saying this need some enlightenment for, like Prophet Joshua himself often says, “What people don’t understand, they criticise…”

But anybody who has taken pains to study the principles of some occultic practices would know that with Joshua’s many diverse capabilities, it is not possible to combine darkness and light, at the same time. This is a simple fact of nature. No one occultist could combine the many capabilities of Prophet TB Joshua – not even great masters like Abramelin the Mage and Aleister Crowley could. Such endowments as he has exhibited, coupled with his personality, can only come from an enlightened soul, directly connected to and tapping from the highest source of Light. Those who have taken the trouble to study the man at close range would understand what I am talking about.

Ironically, like Nigeria his country, Pastor Joshua has not been allowed the peace of mind he deserves, to continue his good work of charity by, of all people, his fellow Christians. I just read an interview granted a magazine (or is it newspaper now?) by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the current President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, in which he declared that Pastor Joshua is not of God. Pastor Oritsejafor was also quoted as having demanded to know who Prophet TB Joshua’s mentor is.

Ayo Oritsejafor

Ayo Oritsejafor, head of PFN

Let me begin by asking Pastor Oritsejafor who his own mentor was and who his own mentor’s mentor was. Secondly, by whose authority were both himself and his mentors ordained pastors? Having said that, by whose authority has he declared that anybody is not of God? Hasn’t his own Bible told him yet that judgment is only for the Most High Himself? Well, if a man should disobey the Biblical injunction simply because he is the president of a Christian group and pass judgment unto his fellow man – something that is an exclusive preserve of God – then, he is not doing God’s will. By that very token, he is not of God!

It is amazing that anybody who lays claim to being a pastor of God (like Pastor Oritsejafor of the PFN does) should be talking about mentoring in matters of the faith as if talking about some rookie artisan being shepherded into ‘freedom’ from his master’s workshop. Such drivel simply speaks volumes of the man who utters it. It reveals the depth of vulgarity to which our ‘modern’ men of God have allowed the gospel of Jesus Christ to sink.

Anybody who boasts in God’s vineyard about his mentor and such other inane subjects as earthly endowments has simply not imbibed the lessons of Christ’s personal life. Jesus Christ the Son of God could have been born a prince, if He so chose. On the contrary, God made man, decided to come into this world, the son of a wretched carpenter born in, of all places, a manger and side-by-side animals! He had neither an earthly mentor, nor did the Bible tell us that He had doctorate degrees in sacred theology and dogmatic philosophy.

In His divine wisdom, God chooses whom He crowns king and decides whom He endows with any gift He likes – and we all have our different gifts. Anybody who challenges this wisdom of God Almighty blasphemes against Him, by querying His authority. So, why would God choose a humble, even innocent, or bucolic Temitope Balogun Joshua for the enormous anointing he has received? Why didn’t He pick one of those blue-blooded, Oxford-trained peers of the realm?

One cannot exactly tell and neither can anybody else, for that matter. However, having watched Pastor Joshua very closely these past few months, followed with keen interest, the documentaries of his early ministry and his teachings and other activities on Emmanuel TV, physically witnessed his Sunday healing and miracle services at the Synagogue Church and had numerous private audiences with him, I have been privileged to glean a few facts and to learn a very important lesson about faith, from this soldier of Christ.

As humans, we usually crack in the daunting face of adversity. In fact, at some point, many of us not only give up on God, we even dare to turn against Him. In the case of Prophet Joshua, the harder the battle to survive, the greater his loyalty to his God appears to be. I have never seen anybody with such unshakable faith in what he believes, such optimism that may even look to an observer during those his ministry’s early years as mere folly. Anybody who has seen that documentary on his early ministry, of his first church (a miserable looking shack, with about 20 worshippers) and the optimism with which he prophesied how the whole world would soon come to Synagogue Church, would simply be awed by the power of the living God and testify to His glory. A little later during those early years, Prophet Joshua who leads by example went down to such fine details as personally cleaning the toilets of the church for three long years. As he says, “In order to be able to manage success, I had to first learn how to manage poverty”. As bad as things were then, Pastor Joshua was always seen ministering to his flock with a broad smile, even as his first, second and third churches, drowned in flood waters.

In contrast to those humble beginnings, today’s Synagogue Church of All Nations is an intimidating edifice that has become one of the world’s biggest tourist destinations! If there is anything I have learnt from the story of Pastor Joshua, my interactions with the prophet and his church, it is the humility and faithfulness of God Almighty Himself, towards those that maintain abiding faith in Him, in the face of all odds. This is what Prophet TB Joshua always teaches: “Of all graces, FAITH honours Christ the most; of all graces, Christ honours FAITH the most.”

Those who today want to give Christianity a highfaluting image and discriminate against their fellow men either do not know, or simply forget its humble beginnings. The cross, the banner under which all of Christendom gathers derives from an ancient mystical symbol, which many may refer to as (sorry for that derogatory word) pagan. The Celtic cross, a religious symbol seen all over Britain, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, has a long history that presages Christianity itself. Its four arms are interpreted as the four elements of earth, wind, water and fire. It also represents the four directions of the compass – north, south, east, west – and the four parts of man – mind, soul, heart, and body.

Celtic Cross

The Celtic cross

This is also the basis of the Jewish Tetragrammaton, represented by the Hebrew letters, Yod, He, Vau, He, with the last He, bearing a dot, symbolising completion, just like the shoot of a dormant seed. Those four Hebrew letters, together, spell out Yahuvah, or Jehovah, the elements that emanated from the Divine Essence at the point of Creation, as documented in the first chapter of Genesis. I had written extensively about this in the past and the correlation between this Biblical account of the beginning of space-time and the Quantum Theory in particle physics is indeed amazing!

One and the same concept runs through most major mystical-religious concepts of all civilisations, worldwide, from ancient, so-called primitive African and Amerindian cultures, to Indo-Chinese, European and Arabic cultures and more. This universal symbolism is seen in the Popol Vuh, the Holy Book of the Quiche Maya of South America. It is the Yin and Yang of Taoist China, also symbolised by the Dance of Shiva, in the Indian Sanskrit.

Wole Soyinka

Wole Soyinka, Nobel Laureate from Nigeria

Back here, in Africa, this same symbolism is seen in the ancient drawings of the Dogon of Mali, as it is in Ghana’s Adinkra culture. It is the Creation Snake that Wole Soyinka talks about in his “Idanre and Other Poems”, which the Igbo celebrate in the New Yam festival, the basis of their four market days and their lunar calendar, depicted by the Uli motif of the kola nut head. Ancient Egyptians equally celebrated the feast of Eostre in honour of the goddess of fertility and the endless cycles of the death of winter and the birth of spring. The Romans borrowed the same practice and baptised it Saturnalia. It is this very old belief, depicted by the image of the Egyptian Ankh or the Crux Ansata, which found its way into Judaeo-Christian theology, that the first Christians adopted and celebrated as Easter, directly borrowing its name from the goddess: “Unless the grain falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies it brings forth much fruit.” (John 12:24).

To think that the symbol of the very basis of the Christian faith, the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary and the power of New Life in the Risen Christ, had its humble beginnings in the faiths of peoples we would now rather turn up our noses at, as pagans, is a lesson in God’s own humility and mysterious but wise ways. It teaches us never to look down on anybody but rather, to embrace all. From the high priests of quantum physics, to the lowly African chief priests and sages, to our modern, “funky pastors”, we should have nothing but respect for our fellow man, for it is only God Himself who can tell who worships Him in truth and in spirit.

Flag Globe

The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations

This is another major lesson that Pastor Joshua teaches everyone with his unique ministry. At the Synagogue Church, you find people of all races and creeds. You find the very rich and the very poor, the homeless, beggars, everybody, side-by-side. You even find grandmasters of the occult that have come to receive deliverance. Nobody discriminates against anybody and people are actually encouraged after receiving their healing, to go back to their respective churches or mosques. I am yet to see this in other Pentecostal churches and this ecumenism, I believe, is the message of Christ’s mission while on earth.

It is absolutely impossible for a man to be ‘upright’ and ‘evil’ at the same time, just like we are yet to see one who I tall and short all at once. Also, while we may not be able to easily fathom the machinations of the human mind, we can see a man’s actions and hear his utterances. We can therefore reasonably gauge an individual’s personality from his traits and utterances or what we may generally call his or her character from the consistency with which those tendencies would have persisted over the years. If a man has maintained a certain stance all his life, it would indeed be difficult, if not impossible, to ‘learn an old dog new tricks’ as the Americans would say. “Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit… a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit… “(Matthew 7:17-18)

It could thus be inferred that those who indulge in running down Prophet TB Joshua do not seem to have seriously pondered nature and the several basic principles that govern it. Their reason for criticising that which they apparently do not understand, appears to be either simple ignorance or sheer malice.

All of these people that bandy false tales about the man and his church have apparently never been to The Synagogue Church to investigate the rumours they have heard. Anybody who does so, or even merely follows the activities of the church, beamed to audiences worldwide through Emmanuel TV, would see the glaring truth. No evil man would be capable of faking the personality of Prophet Joshua – his self-denials, his love for man and nature, his charitable disposition, his prophecies and healing and the fact that he does them in the name of Jesus Christ – and above all, his highly inspired interpretation of the Gospel.

Like I have said here before, apart from his amazing miracles, two striking qualities mark Pastor Joshua out as you encounter him are his disarming humility and childlike simplicity, as well as the depth of wisdom in his preaching and interpretation of the Bible. The man’s entire life is a study in humility. Despite his enormous capabilities, you sometimes even catch him in excitement as he himself watches with the rest of the congregation when some of these miracles happen. He would often remind you that he is only a medium of communication, a servant. “I am not the healer, but I know the healer: Jesus Christ is the Healer.”

Down to even his private life, I doubt if there is any PFN pastor in this country who can meet the very high standard of discipline that Prophet Joshua has set for himself, for all to see. The man lives right inside his church and hardly step out of the premises because 24 hours, seven days a week, he is always available to thousands of people that throng the Synagogue Church from all over the world – the sick, the distressed, the widowed, the poor, everybody, people with all kinds of personal and communal problems, even financial problems.

Only last week while I was with him, his aides came to tell him that a batch of over 100 South African who he had hurriedly spent all day ministering to so they could return home, had missed their flight. They were caught in the notorious Isolo traffic. When he told me he would have to cater for these people fro two days, I was surprised – but that’s the kindness of the man we are talking about. At first, I could see he was a little disturbed, but then he shrugged it all off in his usual ‘God will provide’ manner. Instead of collecting and amassing fortunes like those who accuse him of evil, Joshua the pastor, the father figure, keeps giving away. If that man were after money and the material things of this world, I doubt if any human being alive today would be half as rich as he could get, given the capabilities of a man with his healing powers and ability to prophesy for the whole wide world as well as individuals, with pinpoint accuracy.

On one particular occasion, I had been at The Synagogue Church all day, going through archival material at the Emmanuel TV studios while waiting to see him. There were hundreds of visitors from around the country and the world over, with various pressing needs to whom he must minister, individually. He still eventually made out time to see me quite later in the night, with his usual apologies.

The SCOAN

The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria

When I returned the following day to continue my work where I stopped, he was already down in his office. When I asked after the army of visitors of the previous day, I was told he saw them all and only retired to his private quarters by about 7am! This kind of timetable is routine for a man who has no life of his own. When I expressed shock when I first found out where he lives, he resignedly asked me: ‘Where do you want me to leave my people and go?’

In his tiny office that may not even be big enough for the personal assistants of some of  our ‘funky pastors’, the prophet, too busy to even stand up sometimes, eats his meals, prepared from the same source that he serves – even street beggars. The man who lives by example is yet to outgrow the standard he set for himself in the very early years of his ministry when he had to do everything by himself. Till date, he still joins his disciples and staff in manual work like carrying bags of food meant for the needy. This same discipline runs right down his family. His unassuming but very graceful wife is often seen at the church’s supermarket, queuing like everyone else, to buy her needs. I very much doubt if any General Overseer’s wife would do that elsewhere. (Hm! ‘General Overseer’!) Meanwhile, his first child, an undergraduate law student in the United Kingdom– now a grown young lady – shares the same traits as her parents and runs the same errands as the rest of his disciples, when on vacation. By their fruits, ye shall know them…

It is important to point out these facts because no man who is possessed of negative forces would radiate the kind of peace and harmony that Prophet Joshua does, which affects everybody and everything around him, even little children. His uncommon and very large capacity to forgive cannot flow from an evil soul, and this appears to be one loophole that some of the people who were once close to him now exploit to try to run him down. Unfortunately for them, Prophet Joshua, a man of vision, is a meticulous keeper of records.

As is well known to all, every action in life exacts its own reaction. This is a fundamental law of nature, perfectly captured by Sir Isaac Newton’s three laws of motion and summarised by the third law: “Action and reaction are always equal and opposite.”

Those who associate Prophet TB Joshua with occultism certainly do not know what they are talking about. Every occultist pays a high price as he ascends the ladder in his hierarchy and lack of genuine peace is one of those great prices. Two occult masters who went through deliverance at The Synagogue Church, Mozambique’s Agostinho Jefue (pronounced Jack) and ‘Professor’ Nathan Chukwudi Okakpu of Nigeria, who described himself as a grandmaster of science beyond material, both confirmed this.

‘Professor’ Nathan Chukwudi Okakpu

‘Professor’ Nathan Chukwudi Okakpu

On the other hand, a holy man achieves that bond with the Holy Spirit such that he becomes part of everything. Nothing can escape his eyes or ears, for every part of His being – his eyes, his ear, his hands, his thoughts – become God’s tools. With God’s tools, you can only do good things, for the benefit of man and to His glory. This is what is very difficult for the prophet’s critics to understand what Eliphas Levi, a grandmaster of the 19th century and one of the greatest occultists of all times, tries to describe in the AXIOM 9 of his second principle of the ‘Theory of Magic’: “The will of a just man is the Will of God Himself and the Law of Nature.”

It should be more worthwhile for these critics of Prophet Joshua to humble themselves and study his life and learn from his wisdom, rather than listen to the folly of their own minds. What God has bestowed upon His chosen servant, no man can take away, no matter whom.

At 46, this writer wishes Prophet TB Joshua many, many more years of service to God and to humanity – ad multos annos!

NB – Prophet T.B. Joshua is now 47, as this article was written in 2009.

Once again, I would love to hear your testimonies concerning what God has done in your life through the ministry of T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV. Share them with the world via this blog and let God’s name be glorified.

Prophetic Direction Through Dreams

Edwin Asonganyi, a seaman from Cameroon, shares his testimony about how viewing Emmanuel TV has transformed his life, explaining how Prophet T.B. Joshua has given prophetic direction and revelation to him and his wife on numerous occasions, although he has never physically been to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations…

“Emmanuel! Thank you for this opportunity to share my testimony. This is a great joy for me! I started watching Emmanuel TV in 2008. And ever since I started watching Emmanuel TV, I have seen positive changes in my life.

“In 2009 my wife became pregnant. When she was about a month away from delivery, I had a dream where Prophet T.B. Joshua appeared to me and told me that we should be careful. He told me that somebody will bring a gift to us which is not good but said we should pray and nothing will happen. About two weeks later, a man of God visited us, prayed with us and told us the same thing! And truly, I received a strange gift a few weeks later and nothing happened. My wife delivered safely.

“After the child was 3 months old, he stayed for 7 days without excreting. I called the Emmanuel TV prayer line and they prayed with me with my hand on his stomach. Before 20 minutes, he excreted!

“My family comes from a background where nobody worships God. They usually worship witchdoctors. As a child, I was taken to many of these places for protection. Emmanuel tv has shown me that all the bad dreams I was having – seeing dead people, eating in dream, girls trying to make love with me in dream – are the result of all the witchdoctors I visited. But now, anytime I have a bad dream, I will call the Emmanuel TV team to pray with me and all will be ok!

“My wife is pregnant again now, but I am out of the country – as a seaman. Four days ago she called and told me she had a dream  where see saw herself giving birth to a baby in a wrong position. I encouraged her to be in prayer and emailed the Emmanuel  TV team, asking them for prayer and attaching our photos. The next day she called and told me that Prophet TB Joshua came to her in her dream and told her not to worry. He then prophesied to her in the dream, saying, ‘Before you were very clever, but now you always write exams and fail.’ She said, ‘Yes’. The prophet said, ‘This has been giving you a lot of worry.’ Then the prophet said to her, ‘Don’t worry-  I am seeing you as a nurse, and i see you going out of the country.’

“Prophet T.B. Joshua is a true man of god. He has done many good things in my life. Sometimes when I am praying to God, HE will tell me in my dream with God all things are possible. I have never been to The SCOAN but I believe distance is not a barrier. Always leave your problems to God and you will receive an answer, in Jesus’ name!

“I pray that GOD should make a way for me to visit the SCOAN for my complete deliverance, and I believe this light will also shine in our family! May God continue to increase in the life of  Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV Team. Thank you for your time, thank you for your patience and thank you for your love. God bless you!”

Thanks for sharing your testimony Edwin. We believe at God’s time, you and your family will have the opportunity to visit The SCOAN. Please keep us updated with what God is doing in your life and career!

If you have been watching Emmanuel TV and have a testimony to share, don’t keep it to yourself! Glorify God and tell the world what HE is doing! You can share your testimony via this blog here. God bless!

Saved From Satanic Snake Attack

Here is another wonderful testimony from Dorothy, who wrote to us from Zimbabwe. She was saved from satanic attacks after she saw a Wise Man from The SCOAN in a dream…

Wise Man John Chi

Wise Man John Chi, one of the Wise Men at The SCOAN

“From a young age, I have always had bad dreams where I would be attacked by snakes. Any time I had these dreams, it caused so much frustration and setback in my life and relationships with other people. It was after discovering Emmanuel TV that I realized I needed deliverance and prayed along with Prophet T.B. Joshua when he prayed for viewers. I felt the power of God touch me!

“That night I dreamed I was passing accross a bridge and I saw a python in the water. The person I was walking with asked me to join him to have a look at it, but I refused. All of a sudden the python tried to wrap around me, but I escaped. I then heard people shouting that the python was caged in a closet in some room. I heard people shouting for Anointing Water and saw one of the Wise Men spraying the Anointing Water on the snake and shouting, ‘Holy Ghost Fire! Holy Ghost Fire!’

“Later I saw people carrying the python on a platter shouting at me to come and see it  burned. All I could say was that I wanted to take a picture of it so that I would take it to The SCOAN for my testimony!

“Thank you Jesus, for I know I am delivered from these evil spirits! Since then, I have never had such dreams again and there is peace within me. Thank You Jesus for the mercies shown to me, a sinner. Glory to God!”

We thank God for the life of Dorothy and the deliverance she has received since tuning in to Emmanuel TV. Truly, God is good, all the time!

I believe many people reading this testimony may have had some similar experiences – being attacked by strange forces in the dream and seeing negative consequences in their lives. The answer is in Jesus Christ, who is able to disconnect you from those chains of satan when you come to Him in sincerity and faith. I encourage you to watch Emmanuel TV, especially the live services from The SCOAN on Sunday. God is really using this simple television station to bring deliverance and freedom to so many people around the world!

If you have a testimony to share, please send it to us for publication in this blog. It would be great to hear from you. Remember, your testimony will encourage many others to come and receive their own touch from Jesus Christ.

NB – For those not familiar with the ministry, the ‘Wise Men’ referred to above are ministers of God that have been raised up at The SCOAN, and God is using them just as HE is using Prophet T.B. Joshua in terms of deliverance, healing and prophecy. Watch Emmanuel TV to see more!

Saved From Death Through Emmanuel TV

The first testimony from a reader of this blog has come in! Precious testified to how her young son was miraculously healed whilst in a a life-threatening situation in hospital after she prayed along with Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV. Praise God!

“My son was very ill last year. The baby was about to die and was put on drip (2ltr) at the age of six months. The doctors had said there was little hope of his survival. During a healing session with the man of God on Emmanuel TV, he said, ‘Please viewers all over the world, touch the screen and believe Jesus will heal you because distance is not a barrier’. I touched the screen while the baby was in the hospital. When I went for the morning visit the following day, the baby was improving but while on drip. He was discharged two days later, kicking as usual. Praise God!” – Precious

We thank God for your life Precious and that of your son. Keep sharing this awesome testimony to let the world know that with God, all things are possible!

Please spread the word! If you have a testimony to share concerning this ministry, or you know someone who does – don’t keep it to yourself! Send in your testimony and glorify God for what HE has done and is doing in your life.
